TPROP Software module: Steels thermo-physical characteristics calculation from their chemical composition
This software module calculates temperature dependence of
- specific heat,
- thermal conductivity,
- density,
- thermal expansivity coefficient
steel from their chemical composition.
These physical values are of the cardinal importance in calculations of sheet or strip temperature in each pass. The thermal expansivity coefficient is of the special importance for hot and cold dimensions recomputation, for instance for the sheet thickness calculation after the temperature delay during reverse rolling. For the description of thermophysical values in phase transformation range there were two quadratic functions applied.
